alma spricht
Anna Watzinger
16/9 HD Videocollage

alma spricht (152) is the second part of the Videoquadrology + 1 and was generated in the frame of THE MALUS PROJECT, a work in progress process from 2010 onwards, in which the apple acts and is negotiated as the main producer, raw material and projection screen of comprehensive investigations and processing processes.

Videoquadrology +1 deals with the relation between human/organic object/machine or rather with the artist, an apple and various medical examination apparatuses. In doing so, these (three, supposedly) separate states of being may be framed in a blurred affair in order to liquefy their everyday quality of life and
subject-object differentiation.

In alma spricht (152), the artist's teeth/mouth-area meets an orthopantogram, in which the apple acts as an rather invisible pivot (in this version). The video material was composed according to expressions (speaking-dialogue/monologue- communication) of its linked body space (teeth/mouth-area).
